Windows comes with a (pretty obscure) NTP client (the implementation is broken, so you can't sync standards based clients with Microsoft's NTP server, but the Windows client works with standards based servers).

Which version of Windows are you using?
XP

In the Date/Time window (the one that comes up when you double click on the taskbar try clock), does it let you specify a time server? (sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't I really don't know waht's up with XP).

If it does just specify one there (here's a list, I just pick one that's geographically close to me - http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/ntp/clock2a.html).

If it's not in the Date/Time window, you can specify them by typing the following in the command prompt:
net time /setsntp:"server1, server2 ..."

And then starting the "Windows Time" service (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Right-click on "Windows Time" and click Start).

You'll need to make sure your existing time is reasonably accurate, the time service won't sync if your current time is too far off.

Yeah, I'm not even sure if that's a valid server. I never use the default.
