Semi-Official I'm Thread XVII
Im upset,,,,,and Im gonna tell you why:
My roommate and her boyfriend decided they wanted to move in together and live somewhere down by where our apartment is now. Stephanie (my roommate) is binded to this apartment until next month but she and Chris want to move in on May 1st. I convinced my friend whom she is subletting from to give her back her deposit.
2 Sundays ago, I showed them a ton of apartments....they made pros and cons lists all week, we showed their families this past weekend, and on Sunday, they chose an apartment and put in an application. I was pleased since I figured it was a done deal.
TODAY: they got approved for the apartment! Chris's parents are gonna be on the lease with them and it was all good. YET, I get a call from the leasing office saying that Chris said he isnt sure he is going to take it...
Basically, the leasing manager, whom I have worked with on deals for a year now, accused me of forcing them to put the application down and bringing in unfit clients...AND they put their apartment back on the market...
MORAL OF STORY: never do favors for roommates
