I'm saying a cumulative effect...a few mishaps on the road part...talk of doing a track only event and everyone pissing on that idea. And the realization of doing a massive road event where EVERYONE is driving consistently over posted speed limits is a certain recipe for eventual disaster. I think Fall Colors will probably happen again, but it wont be the same (for better and for worse!)

I'm noting that this has crossed my mind often with regards to our dragon events... success is a mixed blessing! When we had 5 or 6 cars caravaning down I75 (well in excess of the posted speed limit) and 30 running the Dragon, it didn't seem that bad. Now that we're having 15-25 doing the caravan (and more and more speedsters in the mix) and 80-100 doing the Dragon, it seems that it's only a matter of time before something bad happens.

I'm going to be in Seattle Sunday afternoon, but will be down here most of the weekend. It's the kid's Spring Break starting this afternoon, so we're going to goof off for a couple days before their dad takes them on Sunday...

I'm noting the markets have lost Tuesday's big gains over the last three days.

I'm saying keep keeping your fingers crossed! We have been extremely lucky with our local events as well! One minor mishap where mike (britmike) made contact with Jen's rear but thats it! Our Longwood Gardens run (LWG) is crazy balls out twisty fun...and we had to put a temporary stop to this because of an incident as well last year

I'm noting it is due largely in part to inflation concerns and another record day for oil prices.
