I'm not sure, but it's probably important.
I'm pointing out that for the first time in recent memory the evil laptop remained at my desk when I left the office at the end of the day!

Heights are the fun part. I have no idea what ratings I could climb, I just did it for fun and my friends that I climbed with would challenge each other to finish a route. My gear:

5-10 Spire

Metolius Contour 3D wide

And the best invention ever... a Metolius EcoBall

And some random

I'm climbing in Mad Rock flashes... basically all the gear I have right now. Since I only bouldered I never bought a harness but I'm looking at some black diamond ones pretty soon.

I'm not a guru of equipment but all I can say is try whatever you want to buy. I was sold on a black diamond harness and after trying it for about 2 minutes I found it unbearable. Same with the shoes - the Spires were my 3rd pair. I don't even remember what the first two were, but the middle pair were horrible (not to mention horribly expensive) but I was able to sell them for about half what I paid. the first ones were okay but I lost them in one of my moves.

http://www.climbwithus.com/ is where I climbed in WI.

http://www.sos.mtu.edu/climb/ is the climbing club at MTU.

I climbed at the Y a few times here but it's lame... and they require wearing helmets which I don't like.
