Semi-official I'm thread XXXIX
I went to look at (mostly gather info on) the 350z, very clearly stated i wasn't interested in buying until probably March, got handed off from a new sales guy to someone that supposedly could talk with in detail about the different trim levels offered and the changes made since the last time I looked a 350 (probably 2004).
So I start talking to this new guy and asking questions...and he starts reading features off of the ****ing window sticker. So he offers a test drive of an enthusiast model (bottom of the line), and I say sure, why not. So we have to get gas, and while we're there he gets coffee and starts selling me on all the cubbies. So we do the test drive (boring, tell nothing about the car kind of drive), get back and he says he'll figure out how much payments etc. are, I say fine- but you know I'm not buying tonight, right? and he says sure.
Where things went from bad to worse- he came back after taking down basic contact info and asks for the keys to my civic...I ask why. He says, "So I can get the VIN and mileage to figure out trade in value." to which say ummm...NO, you can't have my keys. So he says he'll brb and is going to talk to his boss. Comes back and says something along the lines of, "we are prepared to sell you that car for literally a stupid amount of money off." I say sorry, no thanks. Then he got mad at ME, went off on this rant about how none of the incentives would be around in a couple months, why am I waiting to spend more of my money, they probably won't even have a car to sell me, etc.
I say no thanks again, he says fine, scribbles his name on a folded business card and says have a good evening/happy new year, and then I left...without ANY of the information I had come in to get in the first place.
Performance Nissan in Everett, btw.
