I'm sure most of the "performance enhancement" of the CR is due to the tires.

They are claiming 2s faster around their Test track.
That, and the weight reduction

I'm not. As with anything, change is almost always accompanied with negativity. Lots of people feel that changes are usually unnecessary.
I'm pretty sure in this case, people are willing to embrace change, but they wanted DIFFERENT changes.

For example: Less stuck-on stuff and more go fast stuff under the hood.

It's all about the stickers and the paint job. Anybody on this board will tell you that.

I'm sure that a 90lbs reduction is not a significant component of the improved lap times.

I'm willing to wager a nickel the front splitter & dive planes are more efficient than any of the aftermarket ones
I'm willing to bet it wouldn't be enought to make ANY difference at Gingerman.

I'm noting the 90# is with the top on. So probably closer to 170#, which is significant. And the aero probably does make a difference about 80mph. Though, at Gingerman....

I didn't say Grattan or RA for a reason.

I'm pretty sure that the HT weighs LESS than 80lbs.

I'm also sure that if you take off the top AND the tonneau cover you will forgo all aerodymanic benefit and turn the area behind the driver into a ginormous parachute.
