Stick with an AMP company..JL, Rockford, etc.... you will pay a bit more than Sony, Kenwood etc...but in the end you will be happier.

Yeah, but for a beater, don't feel too bad about using Alpine, MTX, whatever. You should be able to get something used cheap!
