ok gas was leaking from somwhere, but only when the fuel tap was on.

so i rebuilt the carb, replaced all the gaskets and the needle and float even though they looked ok, just to be safe.

it kept leaking exactly the same.

i brought it to brandon the scooter mechanic's house and thought it would be something really difficult.

i opened the carb and he looked at it, and

I DIDNT TIGHTEN ANY OF THE BOLTS ENOUGH BECAUSE I AM A WEAKLING, ARM-WRESTLING-LOSER GIRL.

so it was leaking from the fuel filter cover mostly, but everything was loose too.

so now that a boy tightened the bolts it works fine.

CRAP!
