bolts aren't about strength, they're about leverage

I had to take the starter off a 1980 honda accord.

it's held on by two bolts.

one bolt is about six inches long and screws through the starter onto the transmission.

the other bolt is about two FEET long and goes through the block, the transmission in the starter from the OTHER SIDE.

how the fock to you get that bolt out of the engine bay ??? we did, but I had no knuckles left....
