Oh WTF? They definitely didn't go that route, not with 6 or 7 staples in me. Knowing THAT doesn't make me a happy camper. Well nothing I can do about it. I just want this to be over with. I thought I was impatient with my hospital stay? I haven't even been home 24 hours and I'm tired of this recovery
meh they got to it before it burst and everything. don't sweat it

Can be done for several reasons: Cost cutting, equipment availability, the west indian doctor came back from lunch a bit high, or the location was hard to define. I once had a friend who they let the appx actually burst in order to find it!!! I kid you not.

You are OK and that is all that counts.
Perhaps it has something to do with my proximity to Detroit. Seriously though, there was also a question whether there were possibly other issues (like a ruptured ovarian cyst, since the CT and ultrasound weren't clear), so maybe that had something to do with it. But you're totally right - I'm okay, so that's what's important. Perspective is important!

I've always loved that guy. He seemed a bit scraggly, but still huggable.

Yeah, perspective. It's funny, people have asked me if I was scared and whatnot, especially since I'd never had surgery before. Perhaps it was a little naive, but I felt safe once I in the hospital and it was a good reminder that I need to stop criticizing other people for not seeking medical attention when I do the same thing. My stubbornness could've meant a different outcome. Need to keep that in check.

On a completely unrelated note, why have I developed a bit of a cough over the last couple of days? Have you ever tried NOT to cough, but your body ignores you? A couple of times it felt like my staples were about to blow out. Jeezuz.

It's probably from the anesthesia - pretty common but painful I'm sure.

Hmm, I did not know that! Figured it had to do with something over the last few days, but didn't know what.
