Yep, the only way England is going to face Germany is if they both go to the Finals...

Argentina v. Netherlands match today...

I thought England looked good in the 1st half, but when they stopped attacking it all went to pieces.

Shame about Owen, out for 6-8 months.

Let's hope Rooney stays fit, he looked awesome.

No team stands out in this world cup so far. Brasil could not dominate the last two matches with all those super stars, Argentina was very good the first two matches, but just so so versus Netherlands. England were good all 3 first halve, then got tired all second halve. Italy is not as good as expected and Spain is the only team that is doing as expected but other teams in group H are not very strong.

Next rounds will be interesting to watch, any team can beat any other team and any team can be in the final match.

Australia's performance was very good to get one point for the next round. Brazil's football is showing up two games late, but the game with Japanese is worth the wait. They are showing that why they are favorited to win it all.

Argentina and Portugal are both looking pretty good at the moment as well. But then again every team that is through to the last 16 must have shown some decent form in the competition so far

The US is out. The World Cup can go away for the next 4 years.

4th place in the FIFA world rankings and you couldn't even make the last 16

Like I said, if the US isn't in the World Cup/Championship, that sport really doesn't matter.
