Sweden didn't look much good either. Maybe opening round nerves for everyone.

But what's the big deal with Crouch?

He seems to be an averagely talented (I mean average in a Sunday League sort of way) very tall guy who runs around a lot !

Is that the best the English can find to partner Owen or Rooney?

Apparently so.

There are some world class strikers playing in the Premiership, they just all happen to be foreign

Umm, USA down 2-0. They look about like a not-bad English league side, nothing special. Czechs giving them more time and space on the ball than they should.

Second goal by the Czechs was unstoppable though, Brazil, Germany, England, Italy, France would all be down to that goal...came from nowhere..
