yea.. nvidia WAS the leader in vid cards when they came out... but ATI like you said is really come a long way... only thing is that they're drivers are a little sketchy especially for the laptop cards... at least in my experience, im pretty sure yours is still great cuz its new *cough* bastard *cough*

I'm glad because while I like nVidia, it would be bad for them to dominate all the time because then their product would suffer. Competition is good for the consumer look at AMD and Intel. I own one AMD machine and am very happy with it. I would own another.....

I have a machine with a Athlon chip in it... i dunno.. i still would take a P4 over it... long gone are the days of Tandy and Commodore..

true. I went with the new P4 over the AMD, because the price was similar and the P4 was faster, but when the P4 first came out my 1200 AMD would kick it's ass. Plus intel has a better subsystem, chips and bigger pipeling, faster bus etc etc But I hope amd pulls out something cool soon
