HEY Now!!!
I am a mac loving heterosexual!!! Not that there is anything wrong with that!
Guys, if you get a chance, give OsX a chance! Its amazing how stable it is. Especially compared to Mac os 9 or any windoze offering. Linux gurus you can run most of your software without a lot of compiling also!
Do I love everything about Apple and my Mac, NO, I hate the fact that they STILL only come with a one button mouse!, and yes I hate that I have to drag the disk to the trash also! But Steve Jobs was right 5 years ago, the floppy is dead and BELONGS In the trash!! (Dells are now starting to come without a floppy ) But I do give them lots of credit for innovating in the face of Beige boxes. Lots of the modern computing design that works you can thank Apple and there constant need to separate themselves from the crowd, ( inexpensive GUI, laptop trackpad, built in ethernet,Firewire, I could go on)
Apple's Rendezvous is a new standard for data-networking. You might not know what this is now but you will soon! It tis very quickly being adopted by a lot of hardware manufacturers.
One minor correction; only the Apple "consumer" offering (iMac) comes with a built in monitor, The Power Macs are a tower design with separate monitors.
Yup
I can unplug the high speed ethernet cable line from my imac and plug it into my ibook and w/ out configuring anything the internet works right away. Then I can take it out of my ibook and plug it back into my imac and the internet works once again on my imac. (This is before I had airport (wireless))
At my buddies house I unplugged the high speed cable from his pc and hooked it up to my ibook. My ibook had internet right away, then when I plugged it back into the pc it no longer worked. He had to re configure his settings. I thought that was kinda funny.
