That is no way to "live" (looking for my will right now)

It's a damn shame the the GOP decided to politicize this.

Just about as sleazy as both parties grandstanding on this steriods thing.

And don't get me started on the Iraq war. 1520 and counting Americans dead. Thousands and thousands wounded and maimed.

For what? Zero WMDs. One guy in a spider hole. One freakin' election.

Yeah... that was worth it.

I agree that the government should not be involved.

Don't know about Terri or the rest of you but I'm on the record. I've got a living will that says in a case like this... pull the plug.

I wonder about selfishness in a case like this. Who's selfish?... her husband who wants her to go (is it just a big hassle for him while she's around) or is it the parents who just want her around regardless of how she feels about it (if she can feel she may be wanting to go, if she can't what are they wanting with her presence?)

One thing for sure... after repeated rulings by the court in favour of the husband the government is very selfish to keep stepping in and attempting to reverse court decisions.

Poor Terri.

I'm gonna put it in mine if I ever get around to making one... after a certain amount of time or if I'm a vegetable, pull the plug.

The "beloved" Husband is as sleezy as they come. The parents have offered to take sole custody of the situation, but if she lives he doesn't get to collect whats left of the money won in a previous lawsuit to take care of her.

I'm torn on the situation. I know I wouldn't want to live like this but I know I wouldn't want to die the way they want her to. They are trying to starve her to death! Animals and criminals die better then she will. If she truely wishes to die, I doubt she would want to die of starvation.

I really don't think it is about the money. Out of the original $1,000,000 only about 40K is left.

Most medical experts agree that disconnecting the feeding tube will be a relatively peaceful way to go.

Since when is it the federal government's job to intervene in situations like this?

I don't disagree but this is the end many many people come to. It happens pretty much every day in America. Most patients lapse fairly quickly into a torpor and just pass out. There's a lot of question of whether she can even feel.

I've heard reports that there is 'no money there'. I wish I could get this straight.
