Default Tired of CD hidden tracks!

What is the point of the last 'hidden tracks' on CDs? The new Oasis cd I bought has a song at the end that I have to fast fwd 30 + minutes to get to! Why would artists put songs on their cds that half of their fans probably won't even discover?

I admit the Johnny Mathis type track at the end of STP's purple cd was kind of cool but I didn't have to wait 30 damn minutes to hear it... only 3 or 4 I think.

Ditto! It makes it all that much better knowing that you may have been one of the few lucky enough to find it.

I like any of that hidden stuff. I LOVE easter eggs in SW (though I'd kill any of my Engs I caught putting them in). What I hate is when you have a bunch of CDs loaded and how long you have to wait between the "last" song and the hidden song. Close you you're POV knivesout.

True... cds with hidden tracks have to be considered when filling up your cd changer for house party music! Nothing like 30 minutes of silence to kill a mood...

What do you think is the best hidden track on a CD? I'd have to vote for the reverse-sounding garbage at the end of Sgt. Pepper.

I hate hidden tracks. The new New Found Glory albums hidden is 21 minutes after the last full song. It's funny, but I would rather wait 21 seconds instead.

21 minutes is a long time, even if you use FF.

One of my faves is "Euro-trash Girl" which is hidden deep on Cracker's 'Kerosene Hat' CD
