Default Today I learned?

Today I learned when a customer calls and asks how are you and refuses to speak until I really answer...they really DO NOT give a crap..so why ask?

...she was put off by my long winded answer on how business has been affected by No Child Left Behind, how I really was upset that my son got up in the middle of the night with poopy pants , how I was not thrilled that we have to drive 6+ hours (one way) to my brothers wedding this weekend and a myriad of other issues I had on my mind when she asked how I was doing.

"That's the trouble with 'Have a nice day'; it puts all the pressure on you. Now you've got to go out and somehow manage to have a good time, all because of some loose-lipped cashier. 'Have a nice day ...' Maybe I don't feel like having a nice day. Maybe, just maybe, I've had 116 nice days in a row and I'm ready, by God, for a crappy day." -- Carlin
