Today I learned?
Today I learned the School District of Philadelphia is replacing a bunch of Principals in schools not meeting the NMLB standards. The kicker is they are sending the new principals to the University of Virginia to the tune of $836,000
Cut the funding for supplemental materials, cut the teacher aids, cut the teachers, cut the arts classes, cut the music programs, and increase the class size and pay for an expensive vacation junket for new principals!

Who thought this was a good idea, whilst they take away more supplies from the classroom?

The Philadelphia School District is giving some veteran principals the boot and sending a cadre of replacements to the University of Virginia next month for special training in how to turn around academically low-performing schools.
