TIL that if you take a doorstop off to sand under it and then the cord to your sander gets stuck under the door that the doorstop is intended for AND you get annoyed and reef on the door to clear it from the cord while the doorstop is still not attached then the doorknob may smash into the freshly painted wall and put a hole in it. Especially if the button on the interior knob of the door is popped out.
TIL stability control is a worthwhile safety feature. I got the WRX sideways in the rain on curve, and the stability control got it corrected before I headed into the opposing lane. I know it tends to work decent in winter conditions, but this was the first time I had it come on in the rain. OEM tires aren't so good in the rain as they wear down, and the road I was travelling on was more slick than typical roads due to heavy construction traffic using it. I wasn't even driving fast, it got into a tailspin and the left rear brake caliper kicked in and stopped the rotation instantly before I even tried to counter-steer. I was impressed.
Yes , getting a bit worn down but still within safe limits. The outer edges of the tires have little siping for water. I think the road I was on was extra slick though, lots of construction traffic on that road with dump trucks leaving debris on the road surface.
