I have a really BIG, really close extended family back in CT. I am definitely the oldest "kid"
My little cousins range from two and a half to 16 and chasing them around is great fun when I'm home...they give me energy and I tucker them out....Kelly and I are from the same hometown, so we went home together for Thanksgiving and Kelly spent the holiday with my family...Time for another mental image post
*Kelly sits in the dining room talking to my mom, and our relatives about school, work, and whatnot...The window to the dining room is open to the backyard....I'm outside palying with the kids*
--from open window--
Me: "Say Uncle!!!! Say Uncle! OW!!! Kristen!
:laughter:
*Kelly pauses looks to the window smiles...rolls her eyes and tries to continue where she left off*
Me: "OW!! you're heavy...okay that's it......GOTCHYA!!!!......hahahaha
*By this point people are watching me carrying a four-kid dog pile around on my hands in knees. Big Uncle John finally calls everyone in for dessert.....I walk into the dining room, shirt half-untucked, grass stains all over my pants...breathing like I have been running for an hour (which I have)*
Me: "Hi guys!"
Jim thats my life in that mental image!!!......when an older relative is around it seems like kids suddenly dont know how to walk and want to be piggy-back ridden EVERYWHERE......and let me tell u...my goddaughter (our pic is in the corner from the previous page) is an angel...u cant say no to that child

Kelly once told me I have enough inner child for both of us
I can't wait to surprise them in July
Zoe- you'd appreciate this...all my little cousins now love the phrase "cheese-eating surrender monkey"
I said it once (one from your quote list) and they just kept using it all the time.
