TOP 10 CORNER CHICKS OF S2Ki
To begin..... Yes Wicker, I can sing "Old Man River"...but shall refrain from doing so. You wanna play Karaoke Showcase at The Con...I'm down...
And now upon request (in third person narrative for my sanity)
*Jim is sitting in a recliner in the living room....There is a 12 inch deep cloud of smoke at the ceiling and a three inch deep pile of candy wrappers at his feet. Jim reaches for a bong to show little Kristen how to use it. Most of the smaller children are laying on the floor, twitching and giggling at eachother*
Jim's Mom: "Hey......." shuts eyes....pauses....smiles...."we forgot to take the family photo"
Jim: "ooohhhh"
*Jim's family stumbles into the living room....swirling the smoke as they pass...all laughing about the word "green". Jim's Mom gets the camera and tripod...the family sits on the couches in front of the camera*
Jim's Mom: "Can someone set this up for me"
Uncle John: "huhuhhhuh....heheh....you said 'up'"
*Family laughs*
Jim's Mom: "come on you guys...smile for the camera...shuttup and smile dammit!.....now say 'weed'"
In Unison: "weeeeeeeed"
*Family Laughs*
Jim's Mom: "Taco Bell Run.....who's in?"
reminds me of when my mom accidentally got the kids drunk on her christmas cookies

Please don't get me started on the
that is the modern political landscape. I'm not saying that all politicians are crooks and liars, because I have personally known enough of them over the years to know that dishonesty is the exception and not the rule. However, I do find it sad that what gets people elected is not true beliefs, but rather what they can spin to an increasingly ignorant populous.
And, with that, back to your regularly scheduled Corner Chicks...

Seriously Brantley, the saddest part isn't the fact that politicians try to put a spin on things to get elected, but the fact that the small percentage of Americans that do go out and vote fall for it, while the rest of the population is too cynical about the established system to care, vote, or try and make a change.
Jerianna - Of course!
Pb' - I agree 100%. Looking at the 9 democratic hopefuls, I can't find where they all stand on major issues like gun control, education, welfare reform, etc... They come up with "platforms" which are basically 2 or 3 issues where they can fast-talk their way into getting people to vote for them... GW Bush did just that - his "compassionate conservatism" was just a way of saying "I don't have a focking clue, but I'm a nice guy and I'll work real hard for y'all".
