hell ya numba 6!!!

I'm only up because I'm supposed to be going on a bike ride today. Hopefully it'll be a relatively short one, because I'm not sure I'm up to pedalling too much today...I feel WAY outta shape...
Drenched out this way, Brunt. Plus, I'm playing superdad for the weekend while the FP is up in Vermont allegedly doing a half-marathon (but actually, I suspect, sitting in a spa).
Enjoy your ride, bud. I took the little ones out for a couple of hours on the trail-a-bike (3 seat bike) yesterday, and it was fun. We have a nice rail trail in riding distance of my home.
Have a great one, Brunt. Now I'm off to take the kids bowling. How pedestrian of me.

Trail-a-bike's kick @$$!!!
I saw a guy 2 years ago riding the STP (Seattle to Portland) on a tandem towing a Trail-a-bike. The tandem was a recumbent in the front and a normal bike in the rear and it was towing the Trail-a-bike. His 5 or 6 year old daughter was in the recumbent and his 3 or so year old son was on the Trail-a-bike.
When he pulled in to the stop at the end of day one we were all totally stunned. We asked him how it went and he said that the kids were amazing pedalling their little tails off...on the downhills!!
As soon as the road started going up he was stuck doing all the pedalling!!
This is even MORE impressive when you consider that the guy was not very big and the stop at the end of day one that we were all at was 126 miles into the 200 mile ride!!!
Anyway, have fun bowling. I'm going to strap my bike to the rollbar of the Miata so I can go drive and meet my friend...
P.S. I'm with you...she's sitting in a spa...
