I totally understand, Brant!

I love dogs too, but they're a lot of work. I've been hesitant to get one, but I think I'll ask the kids in a few years if they want one. Right now, my 4 year old is really attached to the cats. He chases them all over the house!

I love watching the kids chasing the pets around for a change!!!

Dogs are more work, but I like the fact that they tend to be more involved in your life. I like their companionship. I've had dogs in my life since I was born and, if I didn't live in a condo complex that didn't allow dogs, I'd have one now.

Yup. So true, Brant!

Cats are subtle, though. They can be really wonderful (and not too needy), but not in the "in your face" kind of way.

I also love the outdoors and it's fun to have a dog on the trail with me when I'm hiking or to go play in the mud with...

What, you don't like taking a cat for a walk on a leash! I always get a kick out of that when I see them in the city!

We just boot 'em out the front door and keep 'em outside for a while in the winter. Left to themselves, they're VERY lazy!

The neighbors cat keeps climbing on my car. If he does that when I get the Miata he's likely to become an afternoon snack...
