Remember, most of us are COs or Gold Members because we're in the
... and closing it off would just close us off to many future s... The better solution was and is to make fun of the retards and put them in their place; while letting the people who have a f'in clue figure things out on their own - a lot have in the last two years. My $0.07.

I have to agree with Billy Boy on this one for the most part. If we seal off The Corner, we lose the potential to have some truly great people join us in this place. Now I can't stand the wannabe's more than most, but I also recognize the fact that sometimes you have to sift through the weeds to get to the wheat.
Besides....You get to burn the weeds when you're done
If, almost three years ago now, I had to pay to play? I'm not quite sure I ever would have given this place a shot...something I would have regretted. The truth of it is you kinda have to be able to get your feet wet in The Corner before you're invited to swim.
As far as reputations go. The Corner definitely has had a bad one with some folks....something I think that has lessened to a great degree with the number of Corner Regulars that help organize their local S2k communities. I don't like Newbs f-ing with our "quality programming" ( ), but I also think that just means we have to be more zealous about controlling how much crap they manage to pull before they get put in their proper place.
