Two bad stories about my S
(1) Friday PM, going home from work on the westbound 210, out of the corner of my eye, I see a huge metal pipe flying through air toward my right side. Horrendous metal-on-metal crash. I think "I've just been hit by another car," but no car was nearby. My S gets moved over almost a full lane. I get off the freeway and find a quarter-sized gouge out of one of the spokes of my right rear wheel. I guess anywhere else it could have hit would have been much worse, particularly my head.
(2) Yesterday, I come out of a restaurant after lunch to find a huge bunch of white paint scratches wrapped around the right corner of my rear bumper. Obviously, someone way turning trying to park or leave -- no note, of course. I was devastated. I came home and worked on it for two hours with rubbing compound, polishing compound, Mother's Scratch Remover (amazing stuff), and Turtle Wax. All of the white paint and most of the scratches came out. You can hardly see it -- and it's very low to the ground. I saved myself a huge paint bill.

Actually it's four bad things if you consider:
(3) Last week a rock hit my windshield and left a spider web looking bunch of cracks about an inch in diameter. Someone said the window will cost $600 to replace.
Last Friday, Pasadena Honda took out the heat shield and the rattle, which they originally thought was the clutch, remained. Now they're saying it's my transmission and there is nothing they can do about it.
F*******CK!!!!!

Hi Raptor,
Doesn't CA insurance cover glass damage?
People in parking lots are unbelievable! It's like they turn off their brains and decide they have a right to damage other peoples' property!
That thing with the pipe is pretty mysterious. You should go have your wheel looked at by the way and get it balanced. A little metal loss could throw things off. Damn lucky it hit the wheel, though, Raptor!

Thanks, Chazmo. I think if it had hit my door, it would have punched all the way through and caused a lot of electronic damage, My dedudt is $500, so I'm out. Thanks for your concern, BUD!

alert!Last time I busted a windshield, I recall that MA insurance had state-mandated non-deductable replacement. I guess there are some benefits to living in the people's republic of Massachusetts.

Best wishes Raptor

Bummer George. You can take care of your stuff all you want. It only takes one a$$hole to ruin it.
