Two New Additions To The Periodic Table Of Elements
We had a guy in our metal work class expelled once. He went to get the flint lighter to use the oxy but someone else was using it and told him to just get a rag covered in kero and light it then take the rag over to the oxy and use it to light it too. As he was walking across the room with flames all over the place the teacher walked in and went beserk, he pushed the kid out the way and starting jumping all over the rag to put it out, only problem was his pants caught fire, we were laughing so hard we couldn't help him and it was another teacher who came running in to see what was going on that put him out with the fire hose.
Our best one doesn't include any flames.....
Every day, the teachers would send out a sheet of "notices" which went to every form first thing in the morning. The form teacher would read them out, and they would be things like informing classes of room changes, telling people to go to see certain teachers at certain times during the day, all that sort of stuff.
Well the week before we left (age 17/18) we faked a set of notices, reasigning classrooms telling people to meet teachers all over the school, basically throwing the school into chaos for the morning!!
The teachers only picked up on it after the forms had been dismissed and had gone to their first lessons.... which meant we had four classes from different years trying to get into 1 chemistry lab, two classes outside on the playing field waiting for teachers that were at their normal classrooms etc...
It was hilarious to see......
Needless to say, myself and the rest of the group got into serious trouble for that one
(well it seemed serious at the time!!!

That would have been great to see.We had one of our history teachers going nuts at a mate of mine for some reason, as she was walking backwards she tripped over a bag and fell flat on her back, as any student would we burst out laughing.
She got up quickly and yelled out "everyone who was laughing can go straight to the principals office", before she realized what she said our entire class was standing outside the principals office. He came out and went nuts at us until we informed him politely that we just did as she had asked. When he found it was true he got stuck into the teacher in front of our class and she had to apologize to us in the end.
You have to say, it must be tough at times being a teacher ..... the kids are always trying to see how far they can push you before you snap (well we were
) and you have to keep your cool while they do it!
One of our teachers was actually sacked when he lost his cool and punched on the of guys in the stomach!!! The guy was asking for it, but as a teacher you can NEVER justify hitting a pupil!!!

When you look back on it we gave them hell sometimes, we went through 3 Phys-ed teachers in one semester once.
But then again some of my old teachers I still keep in contact with and I would consider to be great mates that have really helped me out and I've been extremely gratefull for the help and guidance they have given me. Although one of them was more of a class clown as the teacher than I was as his pupil.

You are right, some of the teachers were great, the one that used to give us a lift to the pub at lunch time when we were in the sixth form (16/17 years old) was great
Well, time for me to head off to the garage to see what damage they have done to my car while servicing it
.....
I will report back tomorrow!!!!
