I'm home... trying desperately not to worry. I have not heard any new information. I have tried calling my sister but she does not answer. Getting very worried.

Daisy, it goes without saying that my heart is with you. As easy as it is to say and as hard as it is to do, try not to worry. Spend time with your friends and know that you need to take care of yourself to be able to be there if and when you father needs you.

Update:

My father is out of the hospital and under the supervision of my sister. My dad griped and bitched so much that he didn't want to be in the hospital on Christmas they let him go stay at my sister's. She is to watch for any signs of change in his physical and mental state.

He goes in for surgery on Monday.

Thanks to all for the well wishes and prayers.

you guys,

Lorie

It's never a bad sign when they have the energy to bitch and moan to get their way.

I must admit, I am in better spirits today. At least he has something that is repairable and he gets to spend Christmas with his grand children. Everyone would be so hugely depressed if he were still in the hospital. Unlike during the subdural hematoma, my mom and dad live near family now.... due to mine and my sister's nagging and insisting.

Now all we have to do is hope that he doesn't have another TIA and that the surgery goes well on Monday.

I hope that everyone is having a very happy holiday and having fun!

To all the MOT's: hope you're enjoying the time off due to this holiday.

Lorie

You have no idea how true that is, especially in my dad's case. When he was ill back in June... he was terribly emotional and it was really difficult for all of us to see. We wondered how long the depression would last and if his hypersensitivity would be permanent. We all breathed a sigh of relief the day he started bitching again.
