Growing up in SJ I have way to many fond memories of bare foot in or on the grass to go plastic
AND having suffered 22 years in WA with mud for grass I couldn't wait 2 have some real Cali soft and NOT mud soaked to SIT on don't mind mowing it either

You certainly did, G! Seriously, that's fantastic and beautiful even if you are sucking up the Colorado river . I'm getting aerated and thatched in a couple of weeks with lots of fertilizer treatments over the summer. Hoping to revive the wrecked acre of lawn that I have now by the fall.
