Welcome Superbabe!
Not really. I don't even think I own the road, even when surrounded by a horde of S2000s. I try to always be considerate for other drivers. I know how much it infuriates me, so I try my hardest to allow other drivers to go about their business. I'm rapidly getting to the point where H-D riders, even single ones, won't get that courtesy. I can think of at least 2 instances in the last 6 months where I was flipped off for minding my own, and another where an H-D owner passed me (in the city) on the shoulder just so he could get back in front of me and slow me down again. If you lived in the midwest where H-Ds are dime a dozen, you'd realize these aren't isolated incidents.
Maybe its a regional thing.
We always get a lot of respect from Motorcycle groups when we cruise in groups. And of course we dont own the road, I was kidding. Riding in large groups is neat and makes for a very unique display. I can think of at least 3 instances where we stopped and had mini pow wows with groups of bikes, one was a Harley group. These guys were genuinely interested in our cars.

I think it is a regional thing. When we run the Dragon in TN/NC, we get a fair amount of respect from most of the riders. The midwest guys rarely let us pass though, and some of the locals give us a hard time. Many of the riders are very cool and ask about the car, and I've given a ride to a few. It just seems that, at least in the upper midwest, there's a large percentage of H-D riders who do feel as though they own the road. This is very specific to H-Ds, even the guys on Yamaha and Honda cruisers are usually cool...

Oh, and while we're on this topic....
Bent, if you ever do take up motorcycling, and I see you without a helmet, I will run over your spandex-wearing butt, too.
[majorrant] Nothing gets my dander up like those who think they have a right to ride motorcycles without helmets. Not only is it a drain on our resources collectively when they are injured, but everytime a biker becomes a statistic, it continues to enforce the bad reputation the motorcycle industry has. Same goes for the square-tired street geeks in their tank tops and tennis shoes, thinking they're something special because they can do wheelies. We used to go hunting for these guys on our lunch breaks (typically 2 or 3 hrs long). Nothing is as funny as following Erik Buell through a corner, one-handed, waving at the boy racers. Or doing vertical stoppies at the red lights (no, not me, really....) [/majorrant]
