At stake for Apple is a more predictable and consistent supply of microprocessors -- the computing engine in computers -- as well as potentially lower prices for Apple Macintosh computers, which historically have cost more than PCs running Microsoft Corp.'s (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) Windows operating systems.
Has Apple complained about lack of supply before? Somehow I doubt Apple would pass on any cost savings to customers. They love their profit margins.

What I think is interesting is all the talk about Apple. I like Apple but it represents 3% of computers worldwide. BFD! 3%!

That's like calling Fencing a major north american sport.

Apple is still a technology leader. If they ever decided to be more competitive in price, they could gain market share easily.

Show me a successful company who doesn't love their profit margins! K-MART doesn't count!

I wouldn't call 3% market share successful.

WHAT? Have you seen their financials? Would you call BMW successful? What is their market share? It takes more than market share to judge success!
