mouse!!! I love watching my cats play w/ mice...
They have the mouse in their grasp and let it go. It makes a desparate run for the border, or in this case the crack underneath the closed door to the basement...but being the devilish cats that are mine they pounce and grab him right at the last minute, just as the mouse is begining to taste the sweet taste of salvation, and bring him back to the hell for mice that is the hardwood floor in my living room. They'll repeat this until all the legs on the mice are broken and he is a squirming ball of fur in the middle of the floor. Since he can no longer run he is of no more interest....sometimes my black cat will eat him and leave his brain. He doesn't like to eat the brain, I don't know why...maybe the skull is too crunchy for his tastes.
