I'm in between books right now and I am open to suggestions. A co-worker suggested Game of Thrones but I'm not sure I want to start that series right now.

Looks like I have quite the dark collection lol. I appreciated Barbara Gowdy's Falling Angels. I'd recommend anything by Douglas Coupland, like Girlfriend in a Coma. Eleanor Rigby is good too. His style isn't for everyone though. Anthony Kiedis' autobiography Scar Tissue was good too. You're classic sex, drugs and rock n roll story.
I expect to finish the Dalai Lama's autobiography. I'd like him to publish another autobiography of his life since the book was published in 1990/91. Not sure what I'll pick up next, but would like to have something for this weekend.
Yup, Bukowski was just as messed up as I thought he was.
Tried to start reading The Proudest Day as I'd like to brush up on my Indian history, but it's not particularly fun so far.
I'm on the verge of giving up and trying something else for now. Will decide tonight.

I don't usually have the brain power to read two books at once, but one is a collection of short stories (Margaret Laurence's The Tomorrow-Tamers) and the other is about conversations between two Canadian authors, called Two Solicitudes. I'm enjoying both so far, but I don't suspect there are many CanLit fans here.
The short stories are based in Africa, so that's been interesting so far.

I meant I expect to finish that book tonight.
