Is there anything in particular you like/dislike? I could recommend a million and one bios/autobiographies. I'll take a peek in the library tonight.

I'm thinking about the only thing I won't read are romance novels. I'm not in the mood for anything too political right now because I get enough of that at work and in general. Other than that I will read pretty much anything that holds my interest long enough.

Looks like I have quite the dark collection lol. I appreciated Barbara Gowdy's Falling Angels. I'd recommend anything by Douglas Coupland, like Girlfriend in a Coma. Eleanor Rigby is good too. His style isn't for everyone though. Anthony Kiedis' autobiography Scar Tissue was good too. You're classic sex, drugs and rock n roll story.

I expect to finish the Dalai Lama's autobiography. I'd like him to publish another autobiography of his life since the book was published in 1990/91. Not sure what I'll pick up next, but would like to have something for this weekend.

Yup, Bukowski was just as messed up as I thought he was.

Tried to start reading The Proudest Day as I'd like to brush up on my Indian history, but it's not particularly fun so far. I'm on the verge of giving up and trying something else for now. Will decide tonight.

Still haven't gotten a book but this morning I read the latest issue of Autoweek, browsed the latest issue of Food & Wine, and I didn the New York Times crossword puzzle.

I don't usually have the brain power to read two books at once, but one is a collection of short stories (Margaret Laurence's The Tomorrow-Tamers) and the other is about conversations between two Canadian authors, called Two Solicitudes. I'm enjoying both so far, but I don't suspect there are many CanLit fans here. The short stories are based in Africa, so that's been interesting so far.
