More than halfway through. I've found that I can only read the book in short spurts - often not even an entire chapter at a time. I think it's about self-preservation. At times it's been an emotionally difficult read, but it's still important to witness.

Runaway Wives and Rogue Feminists: The Origin if the Women’s Shelter Movement in Canada. I’m stoked to read this because the ED for the shelter in my hometown was part of this group of women.

This book is less than 200 pages and yet I'm struggling to get through it?!

I have that feeling much too often. The title and idea of a book excite me, but the writing fails to keep me engaged

Agreed. I think I was looking for something a bit...meatier. The last chapter I read used the phrase "flying by the seat of our pants" too many times to count.

Repetitive use of idioms spells "I want to get this book done before my editor cuts me off"

I’ve started reading The Madness of Crowds by Douglas Murray. Definitely interesting. I don’t agree with everything he says so far, but that’s part of what makes it interesting.
