I used to buy books left right and centre. Lots of things shifted for me personally and I decided to stop buying books. So many great reads to discover, even in a small town.

A friend gifted me "Talk to the Paw" by Melinda Metz. I needed some fluffy, easy reading and this fit the bill. Would I recommend it? You definitely have to be a cat lover and have the same sense of humour as the author.

I read "The Perfect $100,000 House" by Karrie Jacobs last week, really good read.

Currently reading "Field of Schemes" by Neil deMause and Joanna Cagan about public financing of stadiums. I 10000% recommend it to every single person in America.

Just looked this up and it seems pretty interesting.

I'm reading The Bipolar Advantage by Tom Wooton. I was pretty intrigued by the idea of someone attempting to shift that paradigm, but so far it seems the author is mostly telling the world how awesome he is. After reading the first few chapters, I'm already tired of hearing that he lived in a monastery and was a stripper (although he didn't mention whether that was at the same time ) I think he needed a better editor, but I'll keep reading anyway. Hopefully this helps some people, but if I manage to get through the whole thing don't expect a glowing review.

I just read a collection of essays on various democratically elected leaders around the world who display fascist tendencies, called "Strongmen."

Having studied politics in college this is a topic I've read all too much about.

Previously read "How Not to Get Shot" a book about the number of killings of unarmed black men by police & why theories on preventing them that don't address racism itself don't work.

Now starting "Prisoner" about the WaPo journalist who was locked in an Iranian prison for 1.5 years.

I gave up shortly after that post. Still getting settled in the new place, but I'm hoping to start another book soon as I have a handful that were gifted to me.
