. I drove an armoured truck (also a Canadian truck).
Lots of fun, summer job for 1 summer.

A Canadian truck? Can we confirm that? Was the percentage of Candian parts and/or assembly in excess of 50%?
If it had a Canadian license plate, that doesn't count. . .

First paying job: mowing lawns
First legit job: busboy at a "fancy" restaurant (fancy by small town standards, they had steak!). Worked there about 3 months. Working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night got old in a hurry.
After that: lackey at Target, drafting intern, engineering intern, custodian (dorms), LISP programmer, designer, suspension testing, tech writing.

Not counting working at the family business, first real paying job was working at UC7 Cinemas. I was the head projectionist (actually helped install the projectors & sound equipment).
Work schedule was Tues-Fri nights from about 5PM to midnight-but actually only worked about 15-20mins every 90mins or so when I had to rethread the movies.
Easiest money ever.
Thursday nights when the new movies would come out, we'd run them after midnight *cough* cash only to get in *cough* , and we'd allow beer etc to be brought in. That's where I learned the proper Coke to Capt ratio. 1:1.

I allways thought that would be a fun job since you prolly get to see all da movies free and just thinking about the free
and being able to put on as much butter as you want

I mowed lawns (hence the reason I'll never do yardwork again!)
First real job, 16 years old, summer Dairy Queen. Min wage 2.35/hour.

worked for movie theaters for a few years on and off, when I was 16. started as a floor cleaner, then sold food, then sold tickets, and finally got into the projection booth. it was good for a highschool job.

i worked at a local independent food store cleaning the meat cutting room and all of the deli stuff. It was a cake walk......I'd be stoned as a mother f@#ker the entire time, working in a chilled room with shorts and a tshirt so I was never sweaty (I just reeked of bleech
). Jammed out to punk rock music the entire time and had all the munchies and drinks I could ever want
I miss that place
