Ok, first real paying job was delivering newspapers. $.03 per copy. Monday though Saturday afternoons. The papers were heavy on days with advertising. I delivered to about 50 to 60 houses and apartments. That's about $10.00/week. I was 12.
The looks of the hairdressers dictate the negotiations.

my first job was putting baits on a fishing boat. Since I was new to this country, that's the only job that was available for a non-english speaking jr. high kid.
I worked more than 30 hours/week while I was going to school and learning english. It was only way to reach my American dream!!!
After putting baits for 6 months, I was getting sick of it. But I knew I couldnt quit then. I continue to put baits and more baits.
