In Oregon it's illegal for them to serve you without your ID no matter what your age.

Tennessee is the same, Luke. All the restaurants I ate at carded everyone, even those old enough to be the bartender's parents. It's dumb, but it takes the judgement out of it. Basically the lawmakers don't trust people to be able to discern the difference between someone who might be under 21 and someone who is obviously over 30.

One time I was out with my family, and my mom and I both got carded... my mom didn't have her ID, since I was driving. They wouldn't serve her, I just told the bartended "dude, that's my MOM, you idiot... if I am legal to be served, obviously she is!". The guy gave me both drinks and watched me hand her her drink. Stupid laws (a U.S. forte) ...
