Got myself a nice big steak at the supermarket today. Going to have it with egg noodles and spinach.

What does a nice big steak cost in the US ? We pay about $10-$14 here, for top of the line steak cut though.

I paid roughly $16 for a steak over the weekend but it’s lasted me almost 3 days. Broiled one night , heated leftovers the second night and made a cold steak sandwich for work tomorrow.

It was probably 1lb / and quarter or so- give or take.
Cold steak sammiches on white bread with may and salt/pepper is probably the best sammich ever.

and of course, cut on the diagonal.

I paid 7.94 for it and it was 1.5 lb of angus beef top round steak

I like cold steak as you describe, very good as a sandwich, yummy. A bit of pink in the middle for me. Cut on the diagonal just makes it that much better, lol.

I got this one at Aldi’s they have good deals on steaks. At my local supermarket it would be 15 to 20 bucks for a decent steak and anything under that would be pretty bad.
