That was a good one. Where were you? My first was February 1979 in Roundup, Montana, about 50 miles north of Billings:

I have been to Sydney, Australia.
I have been to Hong Kong and Guang Zhou, China for Asia. Which isn't really two different countries, but I did have to go through customs to travel between them.
I have been to Spain, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Russia for Europe
I have been to the US and Canada for North America.

I have never been to South America, and I don't think I will ever go to Antarctica.

That's a cool item, Cheryl. I am going to steal it.
I'm definitely jealous of your travelling! (Although I think I caught some of that stuff on your FB map.) You also reminded me of another travelling goal I have - to make it to all the Canadian provinces and territories. Only one more province to get to, but all three territories too. Not sure when that'll happen.

Wait, Canada is subdivided into smaller parts?

Whats the difference between a province and a territory?

So many wasted opportunities to not let you back in.
If I were good a PS, below you would see a picture of yourself in an ad for birth control.

So imagine that!

We went up to stay with my Great Grandmother not to far from Nahunta, GA. It was close to the central line.

I think we could have stayed home and seen about the same thing but Dad wanted to go, so we went. He grew up in that area for the most part and liked to fish there whenever he could. It made for a good excuse to go.

Reminds me of the July, 1991 eclipse we saw in Baja. We went with a big group and took a long bus ride to a Mexican farm to be on the centerline. It was hot, dusty, with cowshit ("tortas") everywhere. When totality hit, the cows came home. When the sun came back out, the cows were confused as hell. We could have stayed at the hotel, set up our scopes and cameras around the pool, and pretty much seen the same thing -- which is exactly what we did in Aruba in February 1998.
