actually I don't know anything about food in England...

but the word on the street is the food is not all that impressive.

how would you know?! And what food isn't good. Better than just burgers and fries

 

well, you know certain places have world famous food: French, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese.

But English food is universally regarded (by the non British) as....(you fill in the blank here).
