Luck changed (at least for mom) we got the guy Saturday morning....I found the paint on his truck...He gave his insurance info to the cop there....so at least my mom is happy....

I took my (yeah) STOOK to the honda dealer in Bethel. My friend steve took a look at it. Most of the damage is cosmetic and includes replacing the tail assembly, rear quarter on the driver's side, and part of the interior of the trunk. They are doing the work right now and insurance wasn't a problem at all thank god. I am now talking it over with my dad...he may just buy her...which would leave me free to pick up a new one....but I haven't hammered anything out in stone yet. I know of a couple places where I can pick up a 2002 in silver with 3000 miles on it....I'm still thinking about it though.

Thanks for the support fellas...I'll keep you posted.

Great news for your mum, and good that the insurance hasn't proved a problem.

Did the police do anything about the fact that the lorry didn't report the accident?

If that was in the UK you can get prosecuted for failing to stop and failing to report an accident .....

The same goes for here James...unfortunately the guy claims he didn't realize he hit her (If you saw her car you'd laugh at that too) and without any proof of the contrary, getting the lorry (I like that word) to pay for it is about the best I could do.
