When I drove the 993 I went easy on it in the corners and the salesman encouraged me to get on it and I was suprised how well it held the tail didn't step out at all. I found in research that they had updated the rear suspension in 95 I believe it was. That car left quite an impression on me.

I want to drive a 993 tt sometime. I asked the salesman how they are to drive and he said EVERYTHING happens very quickly in a tt.

I am sure that is very true

I have set myself a target of driving some exotics this year (posing as a potential buyer to get test drives ) I think the Turbo will be on my list to try for .....

I've been in several mid 80s and older 911s over the years and I have to agree that they can be harnessed as long as you drive them with respect. I guess you could say the same about the S2000, too.

Both cars tend to bite you in the butt if you don't pay attention at the limit...but both also have the potential to bestow huge rewards if you drive them well.

The 911 has a distinct advantage in the snow, though...

And, yes, the Miata will be hauling my butt up to the ski slopes next year just like the 911 Turbo will eventually...
