Jewish belief is that there are many people in every generation that are capable of prophecy, but none can exist without The Temple on Mount Moriah. A prophet has a higher spiritual capability than other people, but (s)he requires a high level of spirituality in the world to be able to reach the heights required for full prophecy. Without The Temple that level cannot be attained and all we are left with are dreams (1/60 prophecy) and the 1/60 that parents recieve when naming their children until the Messianic Day.

Here's a bit of Talmud, Sanhedrin 98a:
Rabbi Joshua ben Levi asked Elijah: "When will the Messiah come?" "Go and ask him yourself," was Elijah's reply. "Where is he sitting?" "At the entrance to Rome." "How will I recognize him?" "He is sitting among the poor lepers. All of them untie and tie [their bandages] at one time, whereas he unties and rebandages each sore one at a time. He says, 'Perhaps I will be needed, and I must not be delayed.'"
The Messiah is ready for us as soon as we are ready for him.

about Elijah not having a wife, I highly doubt that is the case. A righteous man could not forsake any of the commandments, and just because a wife is not recorded does not mean she did not exist.

* an andryogyne is a person with male and female genatalia. In discussing the rules for their lives, the question of Elijah's wife is brought up because after his ascension he was no longer a man. What is the legal status of the wife, may she remarry? The answer is yes, since her husband is no longer a man but an angel. I just brought this up to show Elijah's wife in some shape or form

Pretty much. They are a group that is preparing for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount (that means that the Mosque of Omar will have to go). They have pretty much all of the Aaronic/Levitical accessories and clothing for the priests and I hear they also have the cornerstone (cut without hands/human assistance) and the red heifer. All that really remains is for the Temple's actually rebuilding... They have the ashes from the previous heifer as well, from what I've read (I understand it's a requirement at the dedication of the Temple once it's built).

Thanks!

Just for clarification, old testament law (as far as I can see) does not say "A man MUST marry".
