Honestly.......I've never agreed with organized religion. They wield too much power over people.

Religion in politics/government...........just plain scary.

 

I'll abstain from discussions regarding organized religions. Except for those who worship at the shrine of Nut Brown And as for pedophilia, what's wrong with having a foot fetish?

I guess every religion is different. I'm Buddhist myself, and while I'm not a religious person at all, overall, I don't think Buddhism as an organized religion has that much power over people.
Of course, I suppose Buddhism is philosophy first, and religion second (this is how I see it, and I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me).

Sorry, I was just being sarcastic. I dont believe that women are inferior in anyway. I should have put in (a third) "watch-out-for-sarcasm" disclaimer.
Actually, I was looking for view points from people defending the Vatican decision trying to get a better understanding of their actions.
Anyway, Unabageler is probably right. Debating religion may not be good in the Corner. People (on both sides) tend to get a bit fanatic about discussing this topic.
I'll abstain from further religious discussion.
