Default Wordly Observations

I'm fortunate to have spent time on 5 of 7 continents, swam in 3 of 4 oceans (I'll skip the Antarctic thankyouverymuch) and resided for at least 24 hours in 44 of the 50 United States. That being said, I have noticed that every region allows things to be commonplace that would be forbidden if not a law violation in others. I currently live in the southeastern United States, so I'll begin here.

Feel free to add your own examples. Otherwise, fuck off.

As I meandered around my g/f's parents home before and after Turkeyday consumptions, I noticed these things that may not be acceptable in other regions.

-At least three people were half-clad (if not fully-clad) in camoflauge hunting apparel.

-A fully loaded clip of ammunition lying about, with no firearm nearby.

-A dead rabbit (from the morning hunt) on the back bumper of an F250.

-8 beagles patiently waiting in a cage in the back of a truck (hunting with dogs is still legal in NC).

-multiple main courses such as Roast Turkey, deep-fried turkey, ham, country ham, salted ham etc...

-No less than 6 pickup trucks in the driveway (I'm serious).

Quite honestly, I love living in the south. And regardless of what some may think, the number of retards per capita is no more or no less here than it is anyplace else. But damnit, these folks no how to have fun without givin a shit about what anyone else thinks.

having said that, Happy Thanksgiving and God bless us, everyone!

...Oh wait...

Wrong holiday.

God bless America! Everyone else can pound salt until Christmas!

No less than 6 recent model German luxury sedans in a driveway. . .
. . . and still being considered "politely middle-class"

A couple pulling in 250K a year and not owning a home

Asian-Caucasian couples. . . to the point where it almost seems mandatory

Looking utterly perplexed about the notion of getting busted for smoking pot

Retired 25-year-olds

7-11s. . . go here: http://www.7-eleven.com/StoreLocator...4/Default.aspx
and plug in 95117 for the zip code. . . (5 in less than a mile from my specific address)

More as they come. . .

I love North Carolina. I have family all over the state.

I think alot of what the Pantless one mentioned pertains to my area in North Central Maryland and South Central PA. Except for the hunting dogs.

I notice around here:

....alot of those f@#king trailer hitch nut sacks
....surprisingly alot of Confederate flags on the back of F-150s and Chevy Silverado's.
....many missing teeth in the locals
....a ton of city slickers

I may think of more....
