Sadly enough, the drama wasn't related to work

As for what I do at my job... I do maintenance for a large telecom company. I work with T1 and T3 lines all day... I'm in charge of fixing them when they go down. ^-^
Ouch. I'm sorry to hear about that. Hope all is okay now though....

Not bad - I worked from MCI for a while back when I was 18, customer service type stuff and then moved to management. Always wanted to get into the technical side of things - just never had the openings. You like it?

why do they only keep yota open on sundays?
Honestly I'm not too sure. Was just informed that we might be closing this store early today too. We're repainting the floor in our delivery bay and it's stinking up the entire building. Have doors open all over, but it's terrible. A lot of customers are complaining.

I do like it! I used to do customer service type stuff, too, but it was very boring. The technical side of things is so much more entertaining.

I went with a guy that I was kinda talking to (also the subject of this morning's drama)... and his ex showed up so we bounced pretty soon after that

For some reason I've always been in the customer service line. My first boss ever beat it in that customer service was the most important thing ever. Plus making purchases from people who were over-all rude made me want to work a bit harder to make sure the customer was always happy.

Was pretty boring stuff though... plus it seems like no matter how hard you try, some people are just naturally rude. I noticed that those people, if you get rude back... they lighten up some

LOL I don't mind customer service... but I really need to work my brain, too!

I pride myself on my customer service skillz... especially since I do talk to a lot of different customers (mostly employees of other telecom companies).

Ah - I had a feeling that the party was the reason for the drama, that's why I was a bit hesitant to ask how things went.

Ex's... those are always fun

I still have the 'customer service is #1 mindset'... but am real glad to be out of the line of work. Direct customer service type stuff (ie.. call center) is really boring.

Interestingly enough, even though I'm not thrilled with my ex... I think we are on pretty good terms. We just sorta accepted that things turned out the way they did because, after four and a half years, it was time to move on. So even though there was drama leading up to the break-up, we're all good now.
