Wrecked my car...
God damn Luke! I logged on and saw this thread...nearly shiT a brick! Glad you and Brian are okay...that's the important thing.
I'm in agreement with Disco Jesus' assessment of the damage...something looks potentially fishy, like a linkage failure causing a wheel lock (happened to me once).
Hope all goes well with the insurance company, dude....keep us posted

Alex and Jim - How could you prove that something like that caused the accident? It would sure be nice to claim this under comprehensive rather than at fault with the insurance company.
I'm gonna call my dad for this one Luke...he's much better at knowing how to prove this stuff than I am.. He just sees things that most don't pick up on. I'll let you know what I find out. Do you have all the suspension pieces that came off the car???
Luke, you should go back to the accident scene and look at the road; see if, in fact there really was loose gravel. Also, you said the front suspension was just dangling... Do you have any pics of the suspension? The rear suspension failure could've easily been caused by the impact with the guardrail, but perhaps it was the front suspension that caused it all.
There's minimal damage to the front driver's side - nothing serious enough to cause a suspension failure. So I wonder why the suspension piece broke. This could potentially be the cause of it all.
Sorry to be the one to nag, but I still can't get to grips that you just "lost it." So I'll ask more questions. Have you ever clipped a curb, or even think you may have clipped a curb? Have you ever had work done on the suspension? Have you ever hit a speed bump faster than you should have? Was their excessive/uneven tire wear or steering wheel play, before the incident? Did you notice anything different at all when driving, right before the accident?
As for proving you weren't at fault, it's going to be a toughy. I too, have to ask my dad.

Good luck.
Also, you might wanna post this in S2000 Talk to see what they think.

Exactly disco jesus....theres no sign of an impact strong enough to cause a suspension failure....I really think the front end bought it first.
Allow me to nag as well
Had you noticed any strange noises coming from your S lately? This can even be what might sound like a brake squeal. Was the car pulling to the driver's side at any point before this? Ever needed the toe-in corrected?
At the point where you "lost it" a suspension failure would have made a loud kind of popping sound and then the front wheel would more than likely temporarily get locked up. If this is the case, there should be damage to the inner lip of the wheel from having the suspension piece rattling around the inner ring.
check where the accident took place. The front suspension failing would have resulted in an odd set of tiremarks. Even if you slammed the brakes and locked them up....if the driver's side skidmark is longer it's the front kicking the bucket early. This would also be the case if the skid mark on the driver's side was "staggered", meaning it looks like there were two seperate starting points to the skid. The first one would be the point of failure.
Waiting on my dad. I'll let you know what he says.
