They have done a good job of keeping my shelves from flying away for the last 4 years.

if i get speakers, then i'll want to get an amp to get decent power to them.. then no lows..then i'll want a sub..
i would like to keep this simple..
also, i need to figure out some other stuff with the head unit.. it sounds..um.. tingy.. like the highs are too high..i need to tune this thing..bleh...
nothing like turning on the car and the head unit says "Happy New Years!!!"
LOL akemashite omedetou~!!
on a more serious note... I have the Alpine 9857 with an Alpine "Type S" series speaker set and ... no real need for amp
(although I admit it would sound better, but it's good enough for me right now)

I agree with MinaTina, just try speakers (they will make a BIG difference.) If that's not good enough just put a little amp to them 30-45WRMS. I'll bet you will be surprised at how good they sound, even without a sub.
I ran without a sub for two years. I love mine, but it's not really necessiary.

minatina.. did you tune your stereo at all? i remember there are settings that adjust accoring to where you sit, how many speakers, etc..
i didn't have a chance to really do all that last night.. maybe i'll work on that tonight...
i'll wait on spending money on the car right now... i have other expenses to worry about first..
