yesterday, then I think I heard coyotes get two more this early AM. About 4 AM, I hear a series of short, ungodly screetches -- unlike anything I've ever heard. I walk out to the street to see a large animal trotting away. Then about 1/2 hour later I hear more of the same thing. Our street is being depopulated of cats.

I heard that!
Our oldest cat, Spencer, can wail with the best of em. When he gets to screaming, my first reaction is to look for the giant screeching pterodactyl swooping out of the sky to feast upon the victims of the train that crashed into the herd of wildebeast. yet it is nly my Spencer rather short of temper.
