Default 1-2-?

a wiseman once said things happen in 3s....well in the past few days I scratched my front lip pretty bad and my headlight is getting condensation in it. whats next?

Looks like Ill be pulling the bumper off this weekend and resealing my headlight, and getting my front lip repainted. Anyone ever DIY paint? I have all the equipment I need and the paint.

I've done some minor touch up work (like rock chips, etc.). I remember reading a thread in the wash and wax forum about a guy who wetsanded his ENTIRE hood and did it with touch up paint. And believe it or not, it came out looking pretty good IIRC. See if you can find it there, I think there was some good advice in that thread.

This is way bigger than a rock chip! I kind of wanna try to paint it, just to see whats involved. It could probably be done for @ $100.

I would guess the first step would be to sand down the whole thing, (maybe primer first) then add several coast of paint followed by clear coat. It sounds like you must have taken a pretty big chunk out of it. It might just be worth it to spend the c-note for someone else to do it.

If you need a guy to do paint work, let me know. I can give you the number of the guy that did my spoiler (it was a perfect match, which is tough for Spa).
